Haru Ramen – Reno, NV 5210 Longley Ln Suite 500 I stopped in at Haru Ramen and once again, it did not disappoint. We started with takoyaki (octopus balls) — perfectly crisp outside, soft and savory inside. Absolutely amazing. The seaweed salad was light and refreshing, and the beef ribeye with chimichurri had incredible flavor straight off the grill. #TakoyakiLove #JapaneseStreetFood #ChimichurriMagic And then, the star of the show: ramen. I ordered the Miso Ramen (Level 1) and the Haru Shoyu Ramen (Level 3). Both were rich, comforting, and soul-soothing. There’s something about those buttery noodles in that deep pork + chicken broth, topped with pork belly and that perfectly cooked boiled egg… it just hits the soul. #RamenVibes #FoodForTheSoul #JapaneseComfortFood Every time I visit Haru, it feels like more than just a meal — it’s warmth, comfort, and satisfaction in a bowl. Highly recommend. #RenoEats #HaruRamen #RenoFoodie #MisoRamen #ShoyuRamen

I love Haru, very authentic taste compared to other ramen spots and I feel like they actually take there time to make the food, I don’t feel like I have to wait long enough. The Shoyu ramen is a must and I do recommend the fried chicken bites as an appetizer. Also I would recommend an extra egg to your ramen!!! So good I always order a level 4 spicy and it complements so well with the broth and the veggies!!

Haru – A Warm Blend of American and Japanese Dining in Reno Haru, meaning “spring” in Japanese, brings a lively seasonal theme into its dining space in Reno. The restaurant is decorated with a large Sakura mural, cherry blossom window stickers, and a striking painting of a Japanese diva, creating an atmosphere that feels warm and welcoming. The interior design continues with wooden chairs and tables in a traditional Japanese style, while staff wear clothing with Japanese elements, adding to the cultural touch. There’s also a market-style shelf offering Japanese snacks, along with a large refrigerator filled with imported drinks, plus a bar area serving wine and sake—features that make Haru popular with locals looking for something beyond the typical dining experience. The open kitchen setup is another highlight, where guests can watch the chefs at work. The yakitori station, in particular, is engaging, letting diners see the flames and enjoy the visual of the Maillard reaction as the skewers cook. Haru’s menu focuses on ramen, yakitori, and rice bowls. I ordered the oyakodon, featuring sliced chicken, egg, and onions over rice. It was tasty, enhanced with sesame and a dash of shichimi (Japanese seven-spice). The chicken wings were flavorful and came in a generous portion, while the beef short ribs, served in three pieces LA-style, leaned more toward Korean or American barbecue than traditional Japanese yakitori. While the food overall was enjoyable, I felt the restaurant could expand its sushi offerings to round out the experience for those seeking a more authentic Japanese spread. --- Final Thoughts Haru is not a strictly traditional Japanese restaurant, but it’s a warm, creative spot that blends Japanese aesthetics with local dining preferences. With its lively atmosphere, open kitchen, and flavorful dishes, it offers Reno locals and visitors alike a fun and satisfying introduction to Japanese-inspired cuisine.

Haru (H-A-R-U) in Reno is amazing! Incredible flavor, very affordable, spotless clean, and an awesome vibe. Huge shoutout to the kitchen team Jose, Ariadna, Bisma, and Freddy — working under high pressure with high-volume orders and still delivering fast, clean, and perfectly plated food. The waiters are super friendly and attentive. I also had the pleasure of speaking with the boss’s brother, who was extremely kind and welcoming. Truly great staff all around — don’t miss this place, and make sure to congratulate the kitchen when you visit!

The food here is absolutely delicious and their store inside is always filled with something you are bound to want to try. They have good lunch specials as well. The staff here have always been helpful when not knowing what to order.

Friday night deliciousness. The best part is no cleanup at your friendly neighborhood ramen restaurant. Quick eats and a warm belly full of goodness. We love homemade Ramen noodles with all the fixings. Tonkatsu shoyu ramen and the chicken ramen really really good.

First time here, and everything was amazing ! The broth was filled with flavor, I could taste the “love” it was made with. Felt cozy in this restaurant and welcoming. For two ramens and a dessert, we spent under $50. Then I saw their grocery section filled with Asian snacks and went over board. Everything was worth every penny spent!
